Romans 8:37

“Yet even in the midst of all these things,

We triumph over them all,

For God has made us to be more than conquerors,

And his demonstrated love is our 

Glorious victory over everything!”

More than conquerors. 

Because of his love. 

Not because we worked hard. 

Or because we did something to earn it. 

No it is because of him that

We are more than conquerors. 

The problem is we blame God for our failures,

And take credit for our successes. 

“God why did you let this happen to me.”

“Look how great of a job I did.”

Deuteronomy 28:13

“If you listen to these commands of 

The Lord your God

That I am giving you today,

And if you carefully obey them,

The Lord will make you the head

And not the tail,

And you will always be on top

And never on the bottom.”

You are a winner. 

You are a gold medalist. 

You are the top of your class. 

You are at the front of your field. 

We weren’t made for second place with God. 

I think sometimes Christians like to give a 

Humble brag to their loss.

You are the head and not the tail. 

You are the top and never the bottom. 

The cream of the crop. 

You are not a leftover. 

1 Peter 2:9

“But you are a chosen race,

A royal priesthood,

A consecrated nation,

A special people for God’s own possession,

So that you may proclaim the excellencies

[the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections]

Of him who called you out of darkness and into 

His marvelous light.”

He chose you to be a winner. 

He chose you to be set apart. 

He chose you.
