Job 42:2
Jan 07, 2022“I know that you can do all things
And that no plan of yours can be ruined.”
At the end of all the trials and tribulations
That Job went through,
God for chapters and chapters
Goes on a ‘who do you think you are?’
Rampage with Job.
Job, in his suffering, began to weary
And become bitter toward God.
Questioning who he is.
Questioning his might and his power.
Questioning his purpose.
If you haven’t read the book of Job,
It might be a good time to start.
I think Job would look at 2020 and 2021
And laugh in our faces.
Not because any of it is funny.
Because he would tell you what true suffering is.
Job lost it all.
All his animals.
All his children.
His home.
His wife went bonkers.
He dealt with diseases.
Skin issues that would make you go nuts.
He held strong for a long time saying how great God is.
He stood up for God on several occasions.
But his wife and friends encouraged him to doubt God.
To give up.
To throw in the towel.
One of my favorite sayings is;
“You are the sum of the 5 people
You hang around with the most.”
If you are around people with
A nagging poor attitude,
Guess what?
If you are around people that
Constantly question God
And turn you away from him,
Guess what?
Be cautious of who you are spending time with.
If they aren’t pointing you closer to God,
Get out.
Be careful with what you are allowing in your mind.
If it doesn’t feed your faith,
Get out.
Be wise with what thoughts you let float in your mind.
If they don’t honor God,
Get out.
God can do all things.
There is no plan of his that can be ruined.
If your situation isn’t good,
God isn’t done yet.
Trust him.
Believe him for it.
Praise him in the waiting.
In the end,
Job gets back what he lost and so much more.
Trust in the plans God has for your life.
