Ecclesiastes 11:5

Jan 07, 2022

“Just as you cannot understand

The path of the wind or the mystery

Of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb,

So you cannot understand the activity of God,

Who does all things.”

This might be a new concept for some people,

But you don’t need to know everything.

You won’t.

You don’t want to.

Everything is a lot.

God moves and works in mysterious way.

Believe him for it.

He has a purpose for every action.

He has a cause for every decision.

He knows the way.

If you’re going through a storm,

It isn’t your position to know the why.

Your position is to say,

“Hey God, what do you want to uncover in me.”

What needs to change?

What do I need to learn?

What do you have for me here?

You will never totally understand the path God brings you through, but you can ask him to reveal what needs to change in you through that path.

Have you ever actually thought about a baby growing in a womb?

Two cells come together.

They bond.

They begin to multiply.

Different tissues form.

Brain.

Nerves.

Heart.

Lungs.

Stomach.

Limbs.

Skin.

A fully functioning human emerges.

And really you didn’t have much to do with it.

He really does knit us together in our mothers womb.

Something no scientist can take away.

Something we may never fully grasp.

It’s a special bond moment with your Heavenly Father.

Yesterday the wind was blowing hard here in town.

I could see the effects.

I could feel it on my skin.

But where was it actually coming from and going to?

Try standing in the wind and analyzing it to a point where you totally understand it.

You’ll be standing there for a very long time.

Psalm 139:23-24

“Search me, o God, and know my heart;

Test me and know my anxious thoughts.

Point out anything in my that offends you,

And lead me along the path of everlasting life.”

Start by asking God to help you understand you,

Before you try analyzing others

And God himself.

We have enough work to get done in ourselves.

Praise God for the mysteries he holds.
